RESPONSIBILITIES

Allen serves as Frauenshuh’s Senior Vice President of Development Services. Allen leads our development team in Frauenshuh sponsored projects as well as third party development initiatives to drive high quality, cost effective real estate solutions.

EXPERIENCE

Allen has over 36 years of experience in commercial real estate development, finance and asset management and has worked on a variety of property types including retail, industrial, general office, medical office and raw land development. He has worked on all facets of development including land acquisition and ground and air rights leases, project concept and design, governmental entitlements, lease negotiations, property operations and maintenance, investment and dispositions. Over his career, Allen has had direct involvement in the development, management and sales of over one million square feet of commercial projects with values totaling over $250 million.

PERSONAL

Allen is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Master’s Degree in Land Resources focusing on real estate finance and investment. Allen also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the UW-Madison in Landscape Architecture with a focus on natural resource management.

Upon completion of his education in 1981, he joined The Parkwood Company, a developer in Alaska where he was responsible for all phases of pre-construction activities including planning, financing, and governmental approvals. In 1984 Allen joined Oxboro Redevelopment Company in Minneapolis where he assumed responsibility for the administration of the total redevelopment of the Oxboro district in Bloomington. He joined BTO Development Corporation in September 1987 as a Development Officer and then Vice President. Allen became President and of BTO Development, LLC in March of 2014, when he assumed ownership of BTO under its new structure. Allen joined Frauenshuh in his new capacity in July 2017. Allen and his family reside in Minnetrista, Minnesota.
